A FEW INDICATIONS TO HELP CLARIFY YOUR VOCATION

1. To be prepared

It is important to be prepared, by taking time to stop and reflect and pray.
No matter what the invitation of the Lord gives concerning your life, it is vital to observe the signs at your disposal, in an attitude of acceptance and trust. Signs, there will be. A spiritual director to accompany you and vocational meetings may be of great assistance in clarifying and identifying your choice.


2. Be attentive to events in your life.

Be attentive to events in your life and you will discover that for a long while , maybe, the Lord has been preparing your heart to serve his people and his kingdom. He gave you such people as parents, as friends, such experiences of life, such trials, sometimes very painful. All this in order to prepare you for tomorrow: Your tastes, your interests, school and social activities which you have followed.

3. To know yourself.

Which one of you, if he desires to build a wall, does not sit to calculate the expenses and see if he can pursue it to the end?

One must take time to examine one's heart before undertaking an expensive journey. The knowledge of oneself avoids roaming around. Being sincere with oneself, you can surely advance in your projects. Little by little you will be able to make your own choice. You will be able to make your own decisions. It is important to have the will to do something, but it is also important to be able to! To know ones capacities and one's limits is vitally important in a vocational project.
